THE PROFESSIONAL SERIES
CBT+
For CBT practitioners who want to develop a deeper and values based context for their CBT work.
CBT as a psychotherapy is based on a profound and practical analysis of the dynamic interplay of cognitions, emotions and behaviour. The therapeutic process is one of rational inquiry with the client, aiming at finding intervention points in the cognitive-emotional-behavioural network where, often habitual, maladaptive patterns can be transformed into positive constructive ones.
CBT+ adds the depth and spiritual values of psychosynthesis to this approach. The result is a highly structured short-term therapy programme for 6 to 12 sessions which applies the mind-technology of CBT within the psychosynthesis context of spiritual emergence.
Format
A four weekend programme for existing CBT practitioners who want to develop a psychospiritual context for their CBT work. These weekends will be both theoretical and experiential and will include a supervisory component. On completion of the course participants will be registered as CBT+ practitioners.
A prerequisite for the course is the Fundamentals Course.
