Halesworth, UK

I am a counsellor in training offering low cost therapy in the Halesworth area in Suffolk.

Sometimes in life we find ourselves caught; in a relationship that isn’t going anywhere, in a job that feels like its lost its meaning, ultimately in a life where we are just going through the motions.  We feel trapped.

In that moment we can find ourselves overwhelmed by the despair of how to do things differently to bring real change.  We are often left feeling anxious and unheard, a lonely, frustrating and upsetting time with seemingly no-one around us who gets what we are going through.

I am here to walk that path with you;  through engaging with your thoughts, your feelings and your soul we will work to uncover what was lost or unknown releasing you from unhelpful cycles and habits.

Central London, London, UK

No life is entirely without suffering and seeking help often means transforming a painful event into a new source of meaning and hope. At some point we all feel tested to our limits. Seeking professional support during these difficult times can transform stressful, painful issues into positive energy and fresh insights. Helping you to honour and accept who you truly are, to believe in yourself and find your voice is what I strive to achieve in our counselling sessions. My aim is to welcome the parts of you as well as all of you and explore your symptoms and difficulties together.

I am studying for an MA in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy which focuses on the Psychospiritual ‘being’. As a qualifying Psychospiritual Practitioner, I am fully insured, registered with the UKCP, hold an enhanced DBS and am under supervision at the Institute of Psychosynthesis in London. I have also completed a Diploma in mindfulness meditation. I believe this is a powerful tool in creating a space where we can reconnect with our consciousness and be in the moment.

Psychosynthesis goes beyond the treatment of an illness and focuses on the well-being and fulfilment of the individual. It benefits people who are seeking peace of mind and looking to discover greater meaning and joy in their lives. It provides a nurturing space to work with both the darkness and emerging light in our lives.

I speak English and Spanish and I am happy to use either language to suit you. I offer negotiable fees and work in Central London.

I offer low-cost counselling and psychotherapeutic counselling on-line and in person in East Sussex and currently have vacancies for clients.

I have been a full time doctor and medical scientist for much of my life and I first came to counselling and psychotherapy more than 20 years ago during a mid-life crisis. About 5 years ago I decided to train as a therapist myself and I qualified as a counsellor during the summer of 2019. I am now extending my practice and my training with the intention of qualifying as a psychotherapist.

We all struggle with life’s ups and downs at one time or another and sometimes we can get stuck in old patterns of thoughts, feelings or behaviours. Counselling and psychotherapy offer opportunities to talk about life’s frustrations and to explore deep emotional issues with the aim of resolving them or decreasing their power and providing more choice for the future.

My approach acknowledges that suffering can be caused by a loss of contact with who we really are and much our work together will be aimed at restoring, renewing and strengthening this contact with your true Self and supporting you in living your life from this deep place of inner peace and love.

Clavering, Saffron Walden, UK

I offer affordable counselling to people living in the Saffron Walden area.

I work with individuals who experience issues as a result of dysfunctional relationships in their personal and/or professional lives.  This includes people who are are suffering as a result of long-term relationship break-ups, people who might identify with the term ‘codependent’ and people whose lives are being impacted by an addict/alcoholic family member.

When a relationship ends, living with the loss of a significant other can feel devastating.  Living within difficult relationships can be a source of enormous stress and anxiety.  Whatever the circumstances, we can lose sight of ourselves in our attempts to avoid conflict and abuse and just survive day to day.

However, there often comes a point where we want to re-claim our lives but recognise we need help in doing so.

If this resonates with you, why not contact me?

With courage, compassion and curiosity we would work through the method of exploring your world together in order to create a bigger picture from which you can use to make different choices with more understanding and meaning in the future.

In todays world it is easy to become stuck or lost along the way. We can loose sight of what truly makes us happy or we can loose our sense of self and become quite paralysed at times.

Psychosynthesis therapy can help you to come into a more positive relationship with yourself and the world around you. This serves to move you closer to your hopeful vision of things now better. I will be with you in exploring how your feelings are impacted and help you to discover your own path of healing.

People seek counselling for various reasons

– Personal development, insight, and Self knowledge

– Addressing and resolving feelings of distress and/or loss

– Managing challenges with mental health

– Regaining psychological wellness

– Improving relationships

Psychosynthesis is a psychology of hope. As a trainee Psychosynthesis Counsellor/Psychotherapist I offer counselling sessions at a discounted price. We meet together for an agreed number of sessions focussing both on the presenting current issue(s) routed in the past, as well as looking to a purposeful future. I help you to reorient your direction towards personal meaning and values, assisting you to become more of your true Self while addressing your holistic needs.

A space to explore your needs.  Let’s find ways to live happier more productive lives.  In Counselling we can make sense of our feelings, behaviours and daily challenges, so we can overcome them with confidence and understanding.  I am here to support you through this process.  Together we can create a safe space to explore your needs in a way that feels right for you.

Symptoms can appear to be isolated problems in their own right and so we often overlook their root causes.  Working to understand how your experiences inform your behaviour makes the symptoms more identifiable and in time, manageable.

You may be suffering with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, phobias, discontentment, patterns in your life that are holding you back; relationship difficulties, separation, divorce, family issues, children leaving home, death of parents, abuse, bereavement, trauma (ancestral, historical or recent), self-esteem (confidence and love for yourself), feeling sad, loss of identity, not knowing who you are, feeling lost for example.  These are all normal issues that we all face and are often not talked about and included as part of life.

Addressing symptoms and their causes helps create a more well-rounded version of ourselves.  By choosing therapy, you are making a gentle commitment to yourself to do this in a confidential, non-judgemental safe space.  I am here to listen.

I work with individual adults of all ages.  I offer a free initial telephone conversation which gives you the chance to ask me questions and for me to get a sense of what you might need.  There is no obligation, just a time for you.  The priority is for you to work with someone you can trust.

Therapy is an important healthy part of our lives, our inner world is just as important as our outer world – it is part of our health and who we are.

Have you ever wondered if there could be more to life? Do you experience feelings of depression or anxiety?

Psychotherapy can help you in decluttering the defensive layers that are hindering your capacity for a true connection with yourself, life and others.

As a trainee psychotherapist, I will work in a way that enables you to recognise the voice of your higher self which gets overpowered by the voice of your ego – often disguised as anxiety, fears, and worries –  so that you can start to find a closer and healthier relationship with your creative self.

It is a privilege to journey with you with an open heart and to bare witness to the discovery of your inner potential.

In a safe and confidential place, I will listen with empathy and compassion to your life story and difficulties you are experiencing on your journey. Psychosynthesis counselling offers a way of connecting to your creative and unique self. As we all have learned to adapt to our environment, it takes courage to become aware of outdated patterns that don’t serve us anymore.  I work on the premise that we all have the capacity to heal our past to live our lives better. I will be with you in exploring how your feelings are impacted and help you to make different choices how you want to be in the world.

I practice from my home in North London. Contact me for an initial confidential consultation to explore what you want to work on and how we could work together. I offer negotiable rates for people on low income.

Carleton Road, London N7 0ES, UK

My name is Dolma Beresford and I am a qualified Psychosynthesis Counsellor and in training as a Psychotherapist (under supervision), I offer low-cost counselling in North London.

If you’re searching for a counsellor then it’s likely you are experiencing some kind of distress, discomfort or dissatisfaction. This could be for many different reasons, i.e. relationships, family matters, bereavement, loss, ill health, work worries. Equally, you may have no idea of a cause but just a feeling of emptiness or lack of purpose. Counselling is not only helpful for big traumatic life events. It can also help for times when you are at a crossroads or are feeling “stuck”.

Everyone goes through challenging situations, and while you may have successfully navigated other difficult periods in your life, sometimes you need a little extra support. Through counselling, you are given a safe and confidential place to talk over your difficulties with someone who is trained to help you and committed to supporting you.

Please feel free to contact me and we can have an initial conversation about whether counselling may be appropriate for you. This initial conversation can be face to face or via email or telephone. Whatever makes you feel most comfortable and makes that initial step feel less daunting.

Whatever you bring, a gentle exploration of the issues usually reveals a deeper picture that helps you to make sense of what is happening.

I really look forward to hearing from you.

Do you struggle with anxiety, depression or loneliness? Or do you perhaps suffer from low self-esteem, and struggle to find purpose in life? Are your relationships fulfilling for you, or do you struggle to have meaningful and satisfying connections with others?

My intention is that I provide a safe, non-judgmental listening ear to those in need. To this end, I am able to call upon my training and studies in both Eastern (yoga, meditation, tantra) as well as Western (astrology, tarot, plant medicines) spirituality and mysticism.

Together, we will work towards strengthening your connection to your innermost being, giving you tools to be able to access your own inner guidance and wisdom, such that over time you are gradually able to come into a more grounded and centred space within your being. I would also like to work with you on opening your heart to all the joy, beauty and abundance that is your birthright. My ultimate aim is that you should be able to step into being a conscious co-creator of your own reality and connect to your soul’s infinite creative potential, thereby empowering you to achieve your heart’s deepest desires in this life.

Clapham High Street, London SW4 7SS, UK

My interests lie in nurturing a creative and interactive life journey which can prove tougher than we imagined. We may end up frustrated with what we do or don’t do and find we do not feel fulfilled with how we spend our precious time.

I believe we are all unique beings and as we may loose track of who we actually are the respite of therapy can shine a light on things and provide different perspectives. Furthermore there is a hidden gift in our life’s struggles that has the potential to empower our future endeavours as we re-discover ourselves.

At our first appointment we will discuss your current issues and establish the focus of our work together should we decide to do so. I have several consultation slots available. Sessions are £35 and weekly. I look forward to discussing your needs.

Some areas I work with, but are not limited to: anxiety, depression, relationships,  trauma, life goals/personal development, creativity.

**Coronavirus COVID 19** We are living in unprecedented times and therefore, given the most recent guidance from the WHO, I am able to offer online counselling sessions to new and existing clients during this interim period.

The threat of Coronavirus (COVID 19) brings with it feelings of tremendous fear and anxiety in the face of uncertainty. This is only made worse by the idea of extended self-isolation.

It is natural to feel fearful in the unknown present.

It is both a natural and understandable response to feel anxious, stressed and helpless.

But know that even if you find yourself physically isolated, support is and can be available to you.

I believe that now more than ever, one to one counselling needs to be as accessible for anyone who needs it, which is why I also offer a few low-cost places in my private practice.

Sessions can be for a few weeks, months or even longer – whatever you need. So please feel free to contact me if you are struggling and are wondering if counselling might help you get through this challenging and frightening time.

Connection is key to both emotional and physical healing. We can work together to support your mental health and emotional well-being as you also prioritise your physical health. All from the safety and comfort of your own home.

Take care, I wish you well. Karen
