I am a psychotherapist and chartered psychologist with experience of helping adults who are feeling lost and anxious due to major transitions and crisis in their life.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, client centred and relational. The outcome of my work with individuals is that they increase their sense of wellbeing, gain insight into difficulties, change ways of behaving and improve their ways of coping. My approach helps people balance their mind, body, feelings and spirit, which can help them to find more purpose & meaning in life and to realise their full potential.
I specialise in supporting adults who have experienced trauma, either as a series of events throughout their childhood/adulthood (complex PTSD) or as a single event (PTSD). I am a qualified EMDR therapist, which is a treatment that is effective for processing unresolved trauma.
I am a UKCP and BACP accredited psychotherapist. I have a Diploma and MA in Psychotherapy from the Institute of Psychosynthesis and Middlesex University. I am a member of the EMDR Association UK & Ireland and I’m working towards accreditation.
As a chartered psychologist, I am a member of the BPS register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors and an Associate Fellow of the BPS (British Psychological Society). My PhD in psychology focused on understanding and overcoming resistance to change. I have experience as a leadership coach, group facilitator, personal development trainer and academic tutor. I am a Chartered Member of the BPS Special Group in Coaching Psychology.
