Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy College (HIPS)

I am a Psychosynthesis Psychotherapeutic Counsellor clinically accredited with UKCP, and a Registered Member of BACP.

Experiences that shaped me as a therapist include: life long meditation practice, twenty years working as a Specialist Palliative Care Nurse supporting people living at the threshold of end of life, experience in the arts, and working with nature as a resource and mirror of the soul.

Symptoms and issues leading you to seek therapy, will be explored both at level of personality with defences and family dynamics, and at a deeper holistic level, as valuable potentials and qualities coming through. Clients often feed back that getting their more essential nature/spirit seen and experienced, is the unexpected most valuable outcome of Psychosynthesis therapy.

The sessions are a mix of talking therapy and use of imagination and the body as resources, through guided visualisation, feeling in to sensations in the body, and drawing with crayons.

Some issues I have worked with are: anxiety, stress, depression, bereavement, relationship issues, disability, life limiting illness, childhood trauma, suicidal thoughts, concerns around addictions, struggle to connect to body or feelings, sexual expression and identity, existential and spiritual dilemmas, struggling to realise goals, and looking purpose and direction.

I work short, medium or long term depending on client’s need and ability, and I am experienced in working online or through telephone. Please contact me via e-mail with any enquiries and to arrange an initial conversation or session.
