Training Format

Our programmes have evolved over 40 years from the inspiration in experiential learning workshops learned in the early 1970s to the integration of this inner work to outer academic and professional excellence. It provides a road-map for the training and a tried and tested template for psychospiritual development and, at the same time, a practice and apprenticeship under supervision for the application of that which is being taught.

Uniquely we work in groups and build training communities which are reflective of how the world is. In this way the work, whilst being deeply reflective and inner-directed, is always grounded and anchored back into individual’s lives where transformation is experienced as a direct consequence of the course.

Format

From October, the Institute offers a nine-month long training track each year, running from October – June. It is organised as a modular programme taking into account individual needs for flexibility within a part-time professional training to try to meet the needs, not only of those students who are London based, but also of those who come from other regions of the UK and abroad.

  • 8 x 2 day long weekends – The clinical stream (Module 2+) includes an additional Friday per training weekend
  • 1 x 3 day retreat with a gathering of current students, graduates and staff on the last day with a Summer Ball, the annual graduation and a Sunday Market for networking and sharing of initiatives of those in the psychosynthesis community
  • 3 x 2 day Right Relations Intensives with participants drawn from across the training spectrum
